What a Ride! Sax Adventures Across the Island

It’s been one of those stretches where I’ve barely had time to catch my breath — and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Last weekend kicked things off with three gigs back-to-back, each with its own vibe and brilliant crowd. I always feel so lucky to do what I do, and weekends like that remind me why I love live performance so much.
This week, I’ve been back at it. The Encore Bar in Douglas has fast become one of my favourite places to play. Nestled right in the middle of town, it’s the kind of cocktail lounge where you can really lean into the mood — smooth, late-night sax lines filling the room while hotel guests sip their drinks and soak up the atmosphere. It’s been a pleasure to add a bit of extra sparkle to their evenings.
And then last night — what a night that was! I teamed up with the fantastic Matt Fletcher for a wedding at the Comis. The energy was electric right from the start, thanks to the awesome Sunset Jet who had already whipped the crowd into a frenzy before we even took to the stage. Matt and I just rode that wave — it went off, and it was great fun being part of such a joyful celebration.
As I’m writing this, I’m getting set for tonight’s adventure: an Ibiza-style beach party down on Port Erin Beach. The sun’s out, the decks are prepped, and I’m ready to bring some saxophone heat to the shoreline.
What a ride it’s been lately — and I’m loving every minute of it.
